I’ve found that providing this information in the form of a ‘frequently asked questions’ page is the easiest way to help everyone as quickly as possible, so here we go:
Q)How much will it cost?
A)I will provide a custom quote for each client based on the amount of work you require, the type of writing, and other details. The following information should, however, give you a general guideline:
- Website Content – $.05 per word ($25/500 word post) – This is for high-quality content for your website. I can use SEO techniques to help you rank in the search engines, while still ensuring the content reads well for your visitors.
- Technical Writing – $.07 per word ($35/500 words) – I have a strong background in a wide range of different technical subjects. See my ‘about me’ page for details on my certifications and experience.
- eBook Writing – Custom Quote (typically around $.05 per word) – I’ll need to discuss the specifics of the book you require. The exact price will vary greatly depending on the topic, length and other details. I will provide a total price for the full project, along with a minimum number of pages or words, according to your needs.
- White Papers – $350 – This is for a well researched white paper that is between 1000 and 1500 words. I’ll provide the sources for all the statistics and other information used.
- Long Form Sales Copy – $600+ Long form sales copy will typically be 2-4 pages total, with bullet points, headings, ect. This is for the written content only. Images and graphics are not included.
- Short Sales Copy – $200 – Up to one page of sale copy.
Q) How Long Will it Take?
A) Most orders will be delivered within three days. Longer projects such as eBooks and white papers may take longer. Before finalizing our agreement, you will have a firm delivery date. If I miss the delivery date you will get a 10% discount for each day it is late.
Q)Do You Offer Rush Orders?
A)Yes, I can deliver your writing within 24 hours if necessary. There will be a 20% fee for rush service.
Q) Do You Offer Discounts?
A)For website content and technical writing I will offer a bulk discount of up to 10% for orders over $250. If you will include an authors bio, with a live link back to this site, under the published content, I will provide you with a 10% discount.
Q)When do I pay?
A)All orders of $500 or less must be paid up front. If your order is over $500 we can work out a payment of 50% down and 50% upon delivery. If, however, you don’t pay the remaining balance within 5 days of delivery, I retain full rights to the content to sell or give away as needed to recoup my fees. I will also retain the down payment.
Q)How Will I Pay?
A)I will send you an invoice through PayPal. You can pay this invoice with your PayPal account or any major credit card. If you would like another payment option, please let me know and we can work something out. Unless otherwise agreed, I won’t start writing until I have received payment.
Q) Can I see Samples of Your Writing?
