My Top eHow Money Earning Article! Over $1000! (New Update 3/04/11)

*****UPDATE!  See bottom of article for latest update*****

NOTE EHOW CLOSED THEIR WRITERS COMPENSATION PROGRAM AND OFFERED A BUY OUT TO WRITERS.

My top eHow money earning article has made exactly $176  since its publication at eHow in October of 2008. Not bad for less than an hours work.

My second highest earner has generated close to $95.00. Some of my other articles have earnings in the $50 range.  With most articles earning a few dollars.

Writer Gig’s, Earn Residual Income from Writing Online ebook was extremely helpful in sharing how to write articles that make $ on eHow.  This was key for me as I learned how to pick topics and write  quality articles with the search engines in mind. Her book saved me hours of time and set me on the path to earning quickly.  As I mentioned in another post, I make several hundred dollars a month at eHow in residual income.

NOTE: Since eHow has closed their Writers Compensation Program, I now recommend starting your own websites. I did it with 0 technical training or skill. I now make a full time living online with my websites. I recommend joining the Keyword Academy. You can read my review and get my Bonus here; KEYWORD ACADEMY

Writer Makes $1,000+ at eHow

NOTE – EHOW NO LONGER HAS A WRITERS COMPENSATION PROGRAM.

Maria O’Brian, aka WriterGig, won eHow’s top writer award.  With a bank of several hundred articleas, she consistently earns over a thousand a month from eHow. Maria writes eHow articles that rank high in the Google pages and attract large amount of traffic.  I was inspired to join and write for eHow after reading Maria’s posts on a WAHM forum.  A short time after I joined, I read Maria’s book and applied the information.  My eHow income was close to $100 by my second month.  Now I routinely earn several hundred dollars a month and I owe a lot of credit to the information I learned in Maria’s ebook and by writing consistently.

This ebook is very clear and gives step by step directions on exactly what you need to do to maximize your eHow income potential.  You will learn how to select topics, how to write each article for the search engines, and more.  For the past two months I have been spending most of my time working on my websites and occasionally writing an article or two for eHow.  Yet each month, my earnings on eHow have been several hundred dollars.  This is the ultimate in passive income.

I highly recommend making the small investment in Maria’s book.  If you apply the information, it will pay off month after month.

NOTE: eHow no longer has a writers compensation program. I recommend starting your own websites. Learn how step by step here…Keyword Academy

Upfront Cash and Page View Payments with Associated Content

Ready to earn some cash fast? There are upfront cash and page view payments with Associated Content.  The Associated Content site publishes reviews, how to’s, articles and other types of informative articles. After signing up at Associated Content and confirming your email address, you can start writing and earn money fairly quickly.

The first step is to decide on the type of article you want to write. You can browse Associated Contents list of suggestions under “Calls for Content” or select your own topic. Before you start writing, you need to decide on the type of rights you want to give Associated Content for the article; Exclusive – Original Content that has never been published and you agree to not submit the article elsewhere. Non-Exclusive – Original material that has never been published but you retain rights and can publish it elsewhere. Display Only – This is an article that you have published elswhere.

Exclusive and NonExclusive articles earn an upfront payment. There is a broad range of payments depending on how valuable Associated Content finds the material.  The range is usually around $3-$30 with most articles in the $3-$5 range. These articles are also eligible to earn PPM. PPM stands for Payment per Thousand Page Views. (The M is the roman numeral for one thousand). Associated Content pays $1.50 for each one thousand page views. If your article receives 3000 page views a month you would pocket $4.50 a month on top of the cash payment you received for the article. Display articles are eligible for PPM only. No upfront cash.

Like to Rant and Rave? Check out Epinions

If you like to rant and rave about goods and services, check out Epinions,an eBay comapny.  At Epinions writers share the good, the bad,  the sweet and the ugly on all types of products. There are two types of reviews at Epinions; Reviews and Express. Express reviews must be a minimum of 20 words and give a quick summary of a product or service. They may not contain enough information to help a consumer make a purchase decision and are not eligible to earn. Regular Reviews must be 200 words or more. You can use content that you publish elsewhere, though Epinions cautions that this may decrease your visitors due to search engine duplication. If  your reviews are posted at price comparison sites it will also hurt your chances and may make you “ineligible for status as a Top Reviewer, Advisor, Moderator, or Category Lead”.

At one time Epinons paid for ”reads” of reviews and for referrals. They have discontinued paying for both. Writers are now paid based on income share. Income Share is based on how helpful the review is, either positive or negative at helping consumers make a purchase decision. Epinions will not share exactly how this is done in order to avoid fraud. The income is called Eroyalties. Payout is at a minimum of 10 dollars via a check.

I joined Epinons in ’01,  and wrote 42 reviews.  My total earnings there have amounted to $82.99. My highest earning article written in ’02 has made $17.01.

Overall, if you like to write reviews, this is a source  to share them, but unless you plan to dig your heels in and go for Advisor, Moderator or other status, you will not make a lot of money. And even if you do earn that status odds are good your earnings will be slim.

If you plan to write the article and submit it to several sources for other income, you may want to consider Epinions also as a source for a little bit of additional income.
